Maintaining Hamster


Many people are keen to maintain a hamster because of her cute, petite body shape, his behavior is adorable, and of course, because the hamster not a mouse. Hamsters are a type of rodent animals, there are various kinds in the world and almost in every country.
The form of mini makes it easy to under hamsters everywhere and do not need a cage that is too big to take care of him. Hamster has a plump body, with a tail shorter than its body and has a hairy ears, feet wide, short and fat. Hamsters have long thick fur, and feathers have different colors depending hamster species, such as black, gray, white, brown, yellow and red. The bottom of the hamster is white to gray and black. Hamsters are omnivorous creatures. Their food is usually of rice grains and fresh fruits, roots, green parts of plants, invertebrates and some other small animals such as insects and grasshoppers. If you want to keep the hamster, the safest thing is to provide a meal of fresh seeds. Choose cereals that are not preserved but are free from fleas and dyes.
For security reasons, you should not leave food in the form of leaves of fresh and instant food because usually contain preservatives. Salt-containing foods can cause fur loss in hamsters. Hamsters can be stored either at home or in a terrarium which is available at pet stores. A suitable home for the hamster should have a place at least 2 feet and the top is strong because the hamster is a good climber. Avoid hazardous objects that are harmful to animals. Plywood is not suitable for hamsters, because hamsters will gnaw wood and glue or resin either toxic to them. Floor of the dwelling hamsters usually filled with sawdust. Sawdust made from paper or wood that has been discarded by the smells are the most healthy. But avoiding sawdust made from cedar, pine, may contain phenols that can damage the respiratory system, liver and hamster skin. As with other pets, hamsters need exercise and entertainment also to train their physical and psychological health such as exercise wheels, plastic balls or cars that can be entered hamsters so they can exercise while exploring the area outside the cage.
